From Caveman to Fix-It Alex – Understanding My Body and Basic Needs

I'm continuing my personal reality audit using artificial intelligence to understand my circumstances and gradually improve my life.

After examining my physical environment, I moved to the second stage: understanding my physical condition.

My objective isn't to imagine what I should be capable of. I want to establish what I can actually do, what limits me, and what can realistically be improved.

Examining My Physical Abilities

I started by looking at simple physical activities.

I can walk for approximately 90 minutes, cycle regularly, perform several push-ups and pull-ups, and carry out ordinary physical tasks.

However, I also notice that my energy and physical capabilities vary considerably.

This led me to an important distinction: physical strength, endurance, energy, and recovery are not necessarily the same things.

I want to understand each of them separately.

Discovering What Movement Does for Me

For approximately 196 days, I've been regularly going outdoors using my bicycle.

Initially, I thought cycling itself was the main reason I felt better.

Over time, I discovered something different.

The bicycle is primarily a tool that allows me to reach places where I feel comfortable.

I particularly enjoy exploring areas around Vake Park and Turtle Lake in Tbilisi.

As I move through these environments, I frequently notice that my body gradually relaxes and my internal state improves.

I don't yet know exactly why.

It might be the physical movement, natural surroundings, fresh air, anticipation, or a combination of several factors.

What I know from experience is that movement and certain environments are consistently associated with feeling better.

Examining My Daily Nutrition

I also started examining what I eat every day.

My usual meals include simple foods such as eggs, bread, chicken, beans, cheese, and other accessible ingredients.

With ChatGPT, I calculated the approximate cost of my regular eating routine.

This exercise helped me recognize that a useful nutrition plan must consider more than nutritional value.

It also needs to be affordable, practical, consistent, and suitable for my physical activity.

I want to improve the variety and nutritional balance of my meals while keeping the plan realistic.

Understanding Energy and Recovery

Another subject I'm investigating is the relationship between my physical energy, everyday environment, movement, and recovery.

I've noticed that remaining inactive for long periods often makes me feel less comfortable, while physical movement frequently helps me feel more active.

But these observations don't establish a medical explanation.

I need to distinguish what I experience from what I can actually verify.

This is an important part of my reality audit.

What AI Helped Me Do Today

ChatGPT helped me:

  • Organize my observations about physical activity.
  • Review historical information about my physical condition.
  • Distinguish established facts from possible explanations.
  • Examine my everyday eating routine.
  • Calculate approximate food expenses.
  • Identify questions that require further investigation or professional assessment.

AI is useful for organizing evidence and comparing possibilities, but it cannot replace clinical examinations or prove why a particular experience occurs.

What Comes Next

I will continue investigating my physical condition, particularly:

  • Nutrition and consistent energy.
  • Strength, mobility, and endurance.
  • Physical recovery.
  • The effects of movement and different environments.
  • Practical improvements that can be tested in everyday life.

Afterward, I will continue through the remaining stages of my reality audit, including everyday functioning, finances, resources, relationships, and the wider environment in which I live.

The objective remains unchanged:

Understand reality. Identify problems. Make changes. Observe the results.

This is another step from Caveman to Fix-It Alex.
